I am looking for a stripped lightweight upper receiver for my build.  I would like this upper to be a flat top without a dust cover, case deflector, and forward assist.  Similar to a DPMS lo-pro.  However the DPMS lo-pro has extra material for strength and rigidity.  I am not to fond of the Bushmaster carbon fiber upper.  Does anyone have an idea where I can find one?  I have already asked on AR15.com.

If there isn't one, does anyone know of a unique looking flat top upper?  Something that really stands out.

I have a unique flat top upper that really stands out, but it's not a light weight...  it's a side charging handle version from Alexander arms

I am familiar with the Alexander Arms upper, however I already have the bolt and carrier and did not want to spend the extra cash on those again.

I also like these uppers but they are a little pricey I feel.

If you're trying to save weight, you would probably get more from getting a lightweight barrel(or turning down a heavier barrel to LW specs) than anything. You can very easily get a 6 lb-ish carbine just by turning a barrel down.
