Not really sure yet.. I have had a kit for a long time, but I don't have the receiver or semi-parts.
How about posting photos of the semi-parts when you get them. just because I have not built the RPD yet does not mean I (or others) are not willing to help.

I just ordered 3 cut receivers from Apex. Hopefully I will be able to afford a parts kit in the near future. I'll take pics of the receiver sections when they come in, and if I'm lucky, the cuts will not all be in exactly the same places. Then I'll just need to know where to put the blocking bar, and how to modify the bolt.

Found this pic of what the gap between the receiver remnants looks like when cleaned up and using the top cover and lower to hold them together
And here's a welding jig, stolen from some "Gary Graham" guys myspace page
It's starting to look like, without an abundance of information on rebuilding the scrap, and the availability of tools, it might just be easier to get the pre-made Semi receiver... which likely costs about the same as the parts kit.

I wish we could still get the jigs made.... I never was able to even get one myself.

Got my parts kit order in at the last minute through the store, this next week is going to be tight on $$, but atleast I will have a kit before prices go ^up^ more. I also got the RPD repair manual from here; Lots of info in this thing, including dimensions and methods of repairing parts, hardness of parts, etc. Well worth the money I think. I just hope I don't have to sit on this kit too long while I try to work on, and maybe even finish, other projects.

how many jigs are we looking at?
I could probably cut a few over the next 2 months.
I have a new DSA semi receiver and a cut receiver to go by.
On another note, DSA says use wiselite semi parts but wiselite doesnt show any on their site. anyone have pics or a working system?

Got the parts kit this morning. Looks exactly like the pics in the store,... except for the drop bag, and the tool box for the butt stock, and the cleaning rod, and the front sight, and the gas regulator. Called MGS, and they said they will send these missing parts out right away. It seems like recently, every time I order a parts kit, it's missing Something. My sterling kit was missing the bolt, apex sent a replacement. One of my AK kits was missing the whole trigger group, which wouldn't have mattered, but the springs were missing too. Vendor sent out replacements.

The problem is the shipping Dept is staffed with people making Min. Wage (may not speak english) and potentially not old enough to own a gun.
You just will not find too many people who know what all should be in one of these parts kits (they are cut overseas, and parts get lost) willing to work Min wage packaging parts. the people who know what the parts are are normally the ones selling the guns (and making more money)
