You really need to invest in a new camera....

it would help to know a bit about the pistol...  caliber, maker..

2mm pinfire, blanks only. Stamped AUSTRIA. Mostly they were a novelty but hung around in different forms to be made as keychains later on. Probably from around the 20's. Pinfire didn't hang around long. I have shot it and it's actually pretty loud.

I'll dig out some real guns later .

I also took some photos of pistols today for use in the history section.

pretty common type stuff, but enough to keep the section going until members start helping out with photos.

I finally figuired out my photo shop troubles so I'm back. I have two rare pistols; one is a 1946 Astra 3000 and the other one is a tool room sample of a second generation Colt built for approval by Colt's board of directors. It was never finished!! My other stuff is 500 to 3000 to 20,000 years old. No, I wasn't there when the stuff was new.

I think we need to chip in for a new camera for Bikergunnut. When I look at his pictures I always have to make sure my reading glasses are on, but they are and things are still fuzzy.

I'll kick in a $20 for Biker's camera. I'm sure that he is doing more good stuff than his current camera shows. Besides, I'm a little guy and he's a big one. I like having big ones on my side in a fight. Camera's are so much improved these days and I'm not up on what is what. Will someone more camera sharp than I volunteer to R&D this? Do you remember the days when we bought film? As a last moment thing, when I was leaving Viet Nam, I bought a camera and it served me well for over 30 years. A thought just popped into my head. What will replace digital? I don't want to know. I'm still getting used to digital.

Sent Gary some pictures of a shotgun I got at Gander for $60, too old for a serial number, screwed up the clerk selling it to me.

Needed a 20 gauge after my father inlaw asked me if I wanted a bushel basket of 20 gauge shells!

Oh yeah, the Coleman cooler cam is back

I considered doing a musket history..  something that be around gunguyr's age as a birthday present, but I just was not able to find something old enough.

I have a Remington 1871 New York State Militia model with bayonet, Might have something older but wouldn't be a musket.

I think my camera issues may have to do with lighting and trying to get too close since it don't have zoom, yea it's old but it works .

Calling for rain next few days but maybe I can try some outside pics and see how they come out.

outside pics are the only way to go.

don't get close to the object unless you have a macro function.
