Greetings, In the process of restoring my 1903 Springfield, I came across the need for a sling. After some browsing and looking, I came across Turner Sling Co.
If you browse the website, you will see that they make all sorts of slings. My concentration will be on the 1907 type sling as used on M1 Garands and 1903Springfields. These would work for WWII items since the metal was parked.... as noted on their website, they did not have the brass version, which would work for early M1 Garands and 1903Springers....
The sling was NOT cheap, at $50.00+S&H. They do offer "blems" but I have no experience with these. Some people who have gotten them praise the quality of these!
When you receive the sling, you will find that you will NOT hump these.... the sling is thoroughly marked:

The "word" on the Turners... as that the stitching is very strong, and just like the originals. While I don't have an original, I can say that this is some of the best stitching that I have seen on any sling!
The stitching on the keepers will last forever!
I will post photos on a rifle later.
I purchased a "lesser" sling via Sportsmansguide a few days ago. I will compare later, what it looked like! The SG link is approximately 1/2 the price and with brass hardware!

nice review. I moved it to the product review thread.
I have a nice M1, but I have yet to get a leather sling for it.

I debated heavily about getting the National Match or "Match" sling for my rifle. It is a tad bit longer, allowing you to wrap yourself with the sling.
As noted and an expert, there could be a problem with the rifle then not riding well off of your shoulder. Since this will be a shooter and potential "wall hanger" I felt that a "correct" length sling would work well.
Also noted on the website are two different colors of sling in the 1907 config. I was told that it won't make much of a difference once you oil them down.
I will add more pics as we go along!
