OK I have all the work done and the gun together and fired twice. My question is what holds the carrier forward in to battery ? I noticed that when cocked and ready to go that if the gun is tipped upward the wieght of the piston and carrier unlocks the locking flaps and it comes out of battery. I need input on what the problem is. I thought maybe my locking flaps are to worn.

I need help. I want to get out and fire it some more but until I get this fixed I don't want to take a chance of something going wrong.

That was it. The striker spring was way to long. Now it holds tight and right where it should be. Thanks so much. I would have never thought to look at the spring being to long.

Who was your striker assebly made by?

How does the length of the striker spring influence the operation of the recoil assembly?  Does the striker spring bind on the recoil tail/bar?

It was one from here. It's all in now. I looked at some pics and noticed the striker spring was approx the same length as the rod.  Now it works properly.
