Ok here goes .

1. Will adding a welded fake " in order to achieve the 16 inches " suppressor to a factory smg barrel make it a USA barrel ?

2. Would taking a barrel from another type of parts set Machining it so it will fit the Uzi . And adding a welded on fake can make it USA . I ask as I have a slew of 9mm smg barrels from stens, cz24 field repair kits and other's .

I'am just hoping that since it is no longer say a cz24 barrel . It could be considered USA now ?????

Rule of thumb. A rifled tube is not a barrel. A chambered rifled tube is a barrel.   IMHO, if you remove the chamber of an existing barrel and rechamber it would be new manufacture i.e. U.S.

I can import blanks from Great Britain i.e. rifled tubes, but every barrel will be a "U.S. manufactured barrel" since I chamber them.

However, if you are importing something that was once a barrel there are specific regulations on what it takes to move it from "barrel" status to "non-barrel" status for importation purposes, and that is three holes of a diameter at least equal to the bore diameter.   If you repair/remanufacture one of these into a new barrel it would be a U.S. manufactured barrel. Or, another example, you could make a pistol barrel out of the sections between the holes and it would be a U.S. manufactured barrel. . If that definition is applied to your situation your barrel would not be "U.S." if you only re-profiled it to fit another gun. For example, if you took a barrel from one AK variant and turned the trunnion area smaller to fit a different variant it would not be U.S. manufactured.   good luck. Doc

So if I understand this correctly . I can take a cz24 barrel
cut the chamber off ( or other type of barrel ) .
Then re chamber it . Add a welded fake suppressor / extension for the 16 plus inches . And it is now USA part . Cool .

Yes. Correct. I acutally blind pin then weld the pins over. It is less heat into the barrel/ extension and is just as permanant.
