60% 1911 frames, slides, and fixtures will be coming by christmas of 2012. AR-15 and AR-10 (DPMS pattern) along with fixtures by summer of 2013.
1911 billit frames will probably be available a bit sooner. Too many people screaming for them (including myself) and the company with a K and a T in the name does not personaly appeal to me. Sooo....Im doing something about it...

Yo Goober Smoocher, I want information on the 60/80% 1911's coming in Dec. 012 please. Ive used the steel castings I had and wouldnt mind cutting down the machine time. Name and adress would be cool. It may be in our interest to jointly place a larger order. Thanks, Ariel23

If i could find the blue prints for them i would purchase a few, even with the extra cost around 300.00 for the parts that won't fit a regular 1911. IE the Barrel, Slide Stop, Mag Catch Complete, and Grips, filler plate if you have a series 70s Slide. This is for the Wide Body SA, i didn't check out the parts for the DAO. And a lot of the parts are Discontinued, which is probably why the Frames are now available.. I still might purchase a couple just for sh*ts and Grins..

thanks for the response tr6gun. I think I have a list for the odd parts needed. I figure worst case I can compare it side by side with my GOV model and see what needs to be modified. parts can be made. internal machining is almost the same. Might be able to use Para Ordnance specs. We will out live Obama HUH!

You are right about the Internal machining unless you get the DAO model, then things are totally different in the Trigger area from what i see...All the parts i listed are priced from Para Ordnance Web-site..

TR6, castings arrived. They appear the same as the one you posted. Side by side with my colt frame I see the take down hole is different. Do you feel that this is a problem. Will I need another lever?. I assume all hole demensions are the same. Frame is wider. Do you know where I can get cheaper magz. If Im doing the magwell I can fit any mag to it. Hey, what are the 2 dimples at the grip? I think this will be fun once Ive accumulated the info before I start cuttin.

As i stated above these are the parts on a Single Action Model that will not interchange with a 1911. On the one you got which is a Double Action Model if you are referring to the picture above i have no idea
Barrel, Slide Stop, Mag Catch Complete, and Grips, filler plate if you have a series 70s Slide...
This is from Brownell's Web-Site
TJ's 1911 Series '80 to Series '70 Conversion Shims (Frame Slot Filler) replace the gap used by the "Colt Series '80 Firing Pin Block Actuating Levers" when removed by gunsmiths for crisper trigger pulls.
It is necessary to fill this frame gap so the sear will not wander over and lock up the sear / trigger mechanism.
Shim/slot filler fits in the frame cutout, permitting Series 70 slides and components to be fitted to Series 80 frames. No alteration, drop-in fit.
The Dimples are the Approximate location of where the Grip Screw Holes need to be Drilled..
As the frames are wider then it stands to reason that anything that goes from one side to the other has to be longer...
I don't have a frame casting to compare but from the looks of the picture i posted, it looks like the casting is already hollowed out for the Mag which is wider then the regular 1911. Also it doesn't show a Slide Stop (take down) hole as being provided, so i can't answer that... And Assumption is the Mother Of All f**k ups

Your right, assumption is the mother of all f**k ups! The hole I questioned is the slide stop. I have to fit that anyway .

It should be in the same place and the same diameter as the 1911, BUT you should measure the right one for that model..
I just ordered this model and this info is copied off the website
All standard 1911 parts will interchange except slide stop, trigger, mag catch & grips. These parts are available commercially.
These frames are set up to use the series 80 firing pin lock set for those who wish to use the series 80 firing pin lock & slides. You can also use the series 70 (standard) slide with a commercially available fill or piece.
Uses superior Nowlin style barrel
This a P14/P13 type frame

If anyone is thinking or already has ordered the DAO Frames you might want to check this out . While checking on parts availability i checked Brownell's and found out most parts have been discontinued...
Now while other suppliers might be available it looks like they will be Expensive....

Does anyone have prints for these frames? They look have a hole for a non standard 2011 or 1911 trigger. Has anyone started a build on one yet?

Depends on which picture you are looking at.. If you are looking at the aluminum frame then its not a P14 its the (DAO) Double Action Only Wide Body Model which you are going to be hard pressed to find parts for, and i haven't seen any prints for that model.. The other Picture is of a Single Action wide Body and the only difference from that and a 1911 will be in the parts listed above, which with a little research you can find the parts at this time...
