I have been talking to apex about discount pricing on a group buy. I am expecting to get a firm price in the next day or 2. They are going to give a price for a 10 kit purchase as well as a 40 kit purchase. ( if they have 40 kits!!! ).

The price went up on these recently because they are getting low on kits. I have arranged to save some $$$'s if we get enough guys to buy. I need to know who all would be interested. Chime in!!!!!

There will be 2 options. They are with or without the mount. So when you respond to this, say if you want the mount or not! Hopefully we can get a deal on these. When i get a responce from apex i will post pricing.

Also, i forgot to mention earlier that i found someone who can repair the demilled barrel. It will cost about $250.00. But that is about 1/2 the cost of a non demil when you can find one!

If we can get a good size group to commit then we might be able to get the barrel repair cost down as well.

Ok. I got the call today. They are getting low and that is why the price went up. If we can get a group of 10 or more to make the group buy then they will let us have them for $600.00 each plus shipping. He said they have been charging between $150.00 and $180.00 for shipping, but, they will charge only exact shipping on this group purchase. No matter how many of us there ends up being. So we should save some shipping as well.

That is $100.00 less then they are selling them for currently. I was told a couple of things. I will relate what i was told to you now.

They only want to deal with 1 person on this group purchase, (me), and if anyone wants to know information on the kits i will find out from them and inform you. That way there is no confusion on this buy. Also, i will have to collect all of the cash and send it to them directly so that they know it is for our group purchase, which means, whoever commits to this, has to be ready for the purchase or they will be holding up the whole group.

Those were the stipulations made by them for our group purchase.

I believe we can make this go smoothly, and, if it does, we will have more chances in the future to talk them down on pricing for other kits of interest to all!!!!!!!



Also, that price is for the kits with mounts. I am sure that if not everyone can afford the mount or simply does not want the mount, i will see what kind of price i can get on the kit without it.

If we can get OVER 10 in the group, i will ask about tossing in a can and belt for free! No promises on that but hey, it won't hurt to ask.

Just talked to apex again, (they called me), they said they had a guy who bought 20 carriage mounts today! He said there is still enough for the kits though but we better not wait too long. I guess even at the $700.0 they are selling them for they ar going quick! He is also gonna email me some photos of the kits to post here, (not the ones on their site).   I have a friend convinced he better get 1 while he can so that makes 3 total in this group? 7 or more and we get them for $600.00!!!

As i said, THEY ARE GETTING LOW ON THESE. When they are gone, that's it. Also, as a group, we save at least $100.00 per kit! Not to mention only paying actual ups cost. Plus, I CAN GET THE BARREL PROFESSIONALY FIXED!

Might be able to save on that as well if we get a group purchase price on the barrel repair. I am waiting on a reply from him as well.

I have some updates on this. First off, HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL!

I know a lot of you here visit multiple sites. That is awesome! One of our members, JMDOVE, has made a post to another site he visits to help us get our 10 or more for this group buy!!! I have received word that a couple of members from beltfedshooters want in!!! There are at least 2 of them right now. 1 of them wants 2 kits and 1 wants 3!!!!! Plus, another member might want 1 as well. I am glad that all of us can come together like this to help out the community!

As far as the barrel goes i am trying to work a deal out with the repair man if we do a group fix em deal!

I am going to make a list of names in the group as well as kits with the mount and kits without. It will be up today.

I will update it as it changes so be sure to confirm your kit and mention if you want the mount or not.

More is better though, it will allow for further possibilities of reduced prices. As mentioned, if you can not afford the mount i will find out a price for just the kit. I am sure it will be less then what is advertised because of the size of our group.

Okay guys, I got my wires crossed on this one.  I gave incorrect info about the per kit cost to the Belt fed Shooter guys and told them it was 400 dollar kits instead of the mount included 700 dollar kits (minus 100).  One guy siad he couldn't do it before I discovered my error (that was three kits).  We will have to wait for things to settle down a little to see where we are actually at.  My profound apologies to Mech Warrior and all of you.  But the BFS thread is still going good with views, so all is far from lost.

UPDATE:  Okay I told the BFS guys about it being EITHER kit.  I am assuming that the non mount kit is the one APEX has listed for $400.

No big deal brother! Tomorrow, i will find out a price we can get for this group on kits without the mount! I will post it here. It may very well be cheep! Whatever the price, it WILL be less then they sell them for because of our group size.

Update; The "Barrel Guy" called me earlier this evening. He said that he is willing to help our group with discounts for multiple barrel repairs! The discount will depend on how many we do at a time, so, for now he said, "If you do 5 barrels, i will do it for $200.00 flat and that includes return shipping."

He also said that if we do more, he will consider an even better deal!

BUT, (i know there is always a catch), there are a few things to make a note of:

1) Expect a turn around time of approximately 2 weeks. Could be sooner then that but expect that.

2) You might not get back your exact same barrel. If something happens while he is trying to fix it like a pin won't come out or it gets messed up, ect. then it is gone. You WILL get a good barrel. If he screws up yours, you still get a barrel, no extra charge! If you get lucky enough to have a numbers matching kit then mark your barrel and MAYBE, you will get it back. BUT, maybe not. Stuff happens. But you WILL get a barrel if you pay for it.

3) I am going to see if Apex will send the barrels directly to him for those of us that want to get them fixed! That might save us even more $$$$'s!!!!!!!!

I just got off th phone with Apex. The price they will give this group for a kit WITHOUT the mount is gonna be $350.00. Of course shipping will also be figured but without the mount it will be less.

Also, on the barrel fix, i forgot to mention that the group price will include him supplying the donor mosin barrel.
