Hey Guys,
I've had hell trying to locate my bbl into my DSA 80% receiver.

Does anyone have any reference dimensions for this?

Thanks, Cole

I head spaced mine using a headspace guage and a barrel press i made from two rods of all thread and some steel plate with holes drilled for the all thread to go through with washers and nuts on the ends. The alltread runs parallel to the barrel and rec.
I marked the nuts with a sharpie and turned about 1/8th of a turn at a time to seat the barrel against the space gauge. When i got pretty close i tried with a no go gauge till the bolt wouldn't close under double thumb pressure.  After that i drilled and pinned and she headspaces good. And works well.
Hope this helps

Thanks, that makes setting the head space easier.

My next question may sound dumb, but it's puzzling me-  Does the bbl go directly into the middle of the receiver?  I cannot seem to get it lined up so that a cartridge will chamber, and judging by the marks on the case the chamber is not properly centered.

Any help there would be greatly appreciated.

Hey The barrel can only go in so far.. There is a barrel stop milled into the front of the rec. just below the shoulder that the barrel pin goes through.
My barrel comes back to just before that stop, you would need a feeler gauge to measure the gap its that small.
Is this what you are talking about???
can you post any pics of the area in question??
I will see if i can, when we figure if we are talking about the same thing.
I will give what help i can, but mine was built on an already working rec.
I changed out the kit to a Chinese one my father brought back from Viet Nam.
So i will try to help if i can
