Hello Everyone,
I will be soon acquiring a ZB 30 parts kit. I am fairly new to semi-auto's.
I am hoping to utilize this invaluable resource in the steps to get this beautifully ugly firearm back up and running.
The previous owner must have re-welded without a "jig" as there is major warping around the magwell. Shown in photos.
I am simply asking what the best route would be, would a bren receiver work? Is it repairable? Does anyone recommend a gunsmith who can repair these receivers?

If you can weld, it is totally repairable! When i made my bren, i welded the 2nd and 3rd sections wrong. I had to cut it apart, and re do it! It is only steel! This weapon has a lot of potential.
Shops that can and will fix them for you, are costly, and the wait is horrible to me! I don't want to shell out $2000.00 and wait 1 year, when i could do it myself. Even if it took me 1 year to do it!
I appears as you said, no jig. I made a simple jig from 1/8th flat bar and some 3/4 square bar. I left the plate overhanging the square bar, and slid it in the groves that the lower fits in. It was simple. Far from perfect but it worked.

Does anyone offer this sort of work? I would rather not spend $2500.00, If I have to, I have to. But Could anyone offer a better price? I don't really have any gunbuilding experience. Mostly finishing.
Thanks

Does anyone have a jig that they'd be willing to part with? Perhaps some instructions as to how to make it semi auto only?
I am at the point of desperation lol...

I keep trying to think of who has built them in the past, but i am stumped. I am surprised that someone else has not chimed in. I sent you an email with a suggestion.
