My H.F. mill/drill doesn't have enough stroke to do the firing pin hole. When I took a step back to think about it I bumped into the lathe and had an idea .

Pictures are out of order but you get the idea. Used the original firing pin to indicate the enlongated original hole and transfer punches to locate the internal hole.

Carbide drill on the inside and TiAlN bit for the new insert on the boltface. Damn that boltface is HARD.

No the barstock isn't a perfect height there is shimstock under it.

Making some progress are ya? I keep waiting on barrels! I haven't even started. Also, don't have the WLA semi set up so i figured i would have to come up with my own design, or follow along with others that are also waiting on barrels.

Pretty interested to see this one get done though!
