I get what you mean. Basicaly like the pics I have now that show the housing going all the way to the top of this ppsh41 frame, but it needs to go the distance of the ar and accept ar parts and use the colt sized holes so either size pin will work with it.....right?

I shot it and it worked PERFECT.....for the 1st 5 rounds, then the recoil assembly failed.

I figured out what happened. As you can see the rods broke away from the backplate I made. Well, I used drill rod! It did not have enough shear strength to witstand the vibration, or possibly it was not perfectly straight and flexed slightly during bolt travel. In either case the issue was related to the material I used an not my design!!!!!

I have redone the recoil assembly and am using 1/8 cold rolled now. Testfire tomorrow along with video!

This works and works very well!!! Again, the failure was due to wrong material for the wrong job. Problem solved! I guarantee its gonna work perfectly now.

I know the recoil system that you are using has been used successfully in the tec 9 as well as the skorpion, and a number of others i can't think of at the moment, so we know its a good system.
Keep at it mech you will knock it out  i have faith

The skorpion uses a cross clip to hold the rods  on the back of the plate. It clips onto a small flat cut into the rod almost at the end.
The plate can then flex forward and backward down the rods against the springs..
Are your rods solid to the plate or can the plate slide along them with the springs in front of it??? on the bolt side of the rods is a head that keeps the bolt attached to the rods.  Look up an exploded breakdown or i can get you some pics this weekend.  You might have a little to much bolt flex on the rods if its not captured.

Pretty much.  Here's a couple of pics:

Above is the Timney AR trigger.  We don't need the internal bits, just the frame.  But we need a much taller frame.

That's the CMC.  Again, all we need is the frame - but it needs to run up to the top of the AR lower, simply to make it easier to index.

Here's Geissele's page with the different diameters:

http://geissele.com/colt-rifle-users-guide/

They also have FCS in those diameters, so someone could buy your unit to drop into their 80% AR, or total home build, & later upgrade to a Geissele trigger.

I hadn't thought about it, but I suppose you could use either pin size in your frame.  Use 2 frame-wide bushings for Colt parts, or 4 side-thickness bushings for standard parts.

For someone building and testing a custom trigger setup, they'd use Colt diameter parts & frame-width bushings to get everything perfect, then drop it in their AR & use standard pins through the bushings to mount.

For someone making an 80% AR, they'd use standard diameter parts, the 4 side-thickness bushings, & 2 short standard diameter pins that are only frame-width.  Then they'd just coat the sides w/ Red Loctite, drop it in place, indexing the vertical height off the top of the frame & the top of the receiver, and clamp it 'til the Red Loctite dried.

What would be the best direction to index the frame horizontally?  Especially given homebuilders don't get their corners at perfect right angles?  Maybe something off the bottom going to the front?  If you went to index off the rear, you could hold the safety and do a short detent?    (Don't do that, it's pure feature creep.  And I don't think there's enough room on the sides of the safety to do all that, & the detent's in the wall of the receiver anyway.  )

Just got back. Fired over 60 rounds in 5 and 10 round increments with tear down and inspection between sets. No lube or cleaning during tear down and inspect. Works flawlessly!

I got a video that I need to upload to my computer then I will post it here. Also got pics of the blocker I will post tonight.

Here are some pics of the blocker bar i welded in. It is a piece of 1/4x1/4 welded flush with the outside cut i cut 1/8 inch into the receiver.

So basically you have to trim 1/8 off of the lower and cut a 1/8x1/4x2++ inch slot in the bolt to clear it.

In June of 2015 I sent Mech. Warrior a ppsh-41 bolt and full payment for a semi bolt conversion and trigger group. To date I have received nothing in return-no parts and no refund.

If the situation changes or is resolved I will report it here.
