It would be cool if somebody, as Chainmail says, andpreferably either familiar with the rifle, or somebody who speaks Russian, could put that all into a pdf in an organised fashion.

I'm not familiar enough with the rifle nor can I understand Russian, otherwise I'd give it a crack.

I know what you mean, whilst I know the rifle fairly well, Russian on the other hand, I haven't clue

Briefly, this document describes the technical requirements for a rifle belt and his test.
Look the drawing, you understand all; if needed I can translate the text in English.

You're very gracious, fandorin. When you say test, you mean a rifle range qualification?

Not. There is a speech about the physical characteristics and technical conditions for leather at release several millions of pieces, this is was the Soviet Union... Quality, colour... even breed of bull.
The drawing has dimensions, is it not enough? Is someone interested in quantum of stains or of scratches on the leather?

Thanks Fandorin, but I really meant the first post with the links that was dealing with the various measured components of the actual rifle, not the belt.

It really would benefit from being made into a pdf, but one that was accurately put together and described.

I think Northumbrian got what I was talking about.

A decent Mosin Nagant manual, written in English, with technical details etc.
Plus, armourers tools & techniques, Drawings etc.

Something like the complete handbooks avialable for the 1911, AR & M1 Garand.

But not a direct translation of the Russian manuals, it needs to be written to encompass every variantion of the Mosin Nagant, not so much it's history, as that's pretty much well known, but the technical details, dimensions, materials, weights, etc.
Also, maybe, modifications & upgrades.

But it needs to be written by someone with a good grasp of written English.

If needed, it ca be translated into other languages.

Just my thoughts on the idea.

Good day, friends!
I do not want to upset anyone, but ...
Look this

In Russia stil available the complete of Tzar's blueprints to Mosin-Nagant rifle.
This is complete for 30 plates (30 cmx45 cm, 1915 issue, Sestroretzk, edit. colonel Zaljubowsky).
Happy owner has access to the archive and it is not free, now he is dictating its terms. It is well-known user "alex---1967".

http://forum.guns.ru/forummessage/18/318731-8.html

Look the link, ther still is blueprints free (low-quality).
Money, money... Oh, how I hat the word.
If anyone interest - wrote here, will think.
