im looking for some general dimensions of the mini-14 magazine, i feel these magazines can be more versatile than AR mags as they are naturally fully curved and ambidextrous

its my understanding the basic lengthxwidth of the top of the magazine is exactly the same as that of the AR-15, the difference is that in place of the channel for the BHO tab on the AR-15 follower, theres a ledgefor the mag release lever to lock against

so mostly what i would need to know is the length and width of that shelf on the back of the mini-14 mag, how thick it is, and how far from the top of the back of the mag it is to the bottom of this shelf

and i would also need to know the diameter of the hole in the front, and how far it is from the top of the front of the mag to the center of that hole

Easy answer is to buy one at the next gun show and measure it.  Gun show after next, sell it to whoever needs one....

these are not the kind of items you'll find at gun shows here, in fact the distance id have to travel to the next closest one isnt worth the effort.. i can get basic dimensions off an AR-15 mag as they were patteriend to be similar, in fact i believe the notch for the mag catch is the same length and thickness as the back section of the AR mag that houses the tab for the LRBHO so it shouldnt be too hard to make a magazine well that can fit the mini mags with a mag catch that can be fitted to it

I forgot to add, that was for a 30-round metal mag made by Ruger.
