How does the gas takeoff assembly come off the barrel shroud? I do not want to mess anything up. I have it pivoting on its grooved mount but it will not let go. Thanks for any help, ZB.

It rides in a curved slot. Look at the regulator as the pivot point. Put a wood dowel or something in the port and roll it off. If you got it moving your almost there

I have it where it should just fall out of the slot/groove. It rolls back and forth but not up. Is this where a hammer comes into play? Tappity, tap? My translated 'guide' talks of a catch spring but if that is the long steel flat on the bottom, it does not move.

When I roll mine all the way around it's suprisingly snug in the slot. Rolls smooth but gotta tug it out.
