It looks like a nice build. It's on my ever growing to-do list.
There were a few things on it I don't like, but for simplicity's sake it'll get 'er done.

I was thinking of a rifle variant of this build myself. Ive a nagant barrel hanging around, a single shot, top break,  7.62x54r could be rather fun.

They can be - Timney makes a trigger I believe.  The usual route is to throw a heavy machinegun bbl on there, but no reason you can't order a proper match bbl from one of the usual makers.  People just laugh @ you for using the Mosin action, but there are far more antique Mosin actions around than any other bolt action but the small ring Mausers - and the antique Mosins might handle modern pressures slightly better.

Not really a blueprint, but this video series is pretty good.....
He also posts a pistol caliber rifle build of similar construction...
