Is there a polymer chassis that does not require the pistol grip to be removed to field strip the SKS?

Not tracking.  The SKS wasn't built w/ a pistol grip.  What chassis are you referring to?

After market polymer chassis like Tapco and the like. The all have the need to remove the pistol grip to remove the trigger group, but I thought I remember seeing one awhile back that didn't have this issue. Just can't seem to find it now.

maybe a real old ram line stock but most of them were not very good.
Can't say i've ever seen one, i always just took the rifle out of the stock.

Ah, probably inherent in the SKS design, as you have to hit a stud @ the rear of the FCS to pop it loose, and you have to get that & the magazine out to get the receiver out.  In order to get the pistol grip close enough to the trigger, it's got to mount over that stud.

I think I found it "Phoenix Technology Black KickLite 6 position stock for the SKS rifle".

They fixed the pistol grip to the stock, and notched out the area for the take down button for the trigger group.

I'll send pictures when I get it.

Thanks for the photo and the link to this vendor... I didn't see the option of the cheek riser on the site I purchased from which I definitely want to have on this rifle.
