I had two of my prior projects somewhat dismantled and after messing around a little, I ended up staring at this...

I thought it looked kind of cool, so I modified some sketches I already had on the CAD. I tweaked it by giving it a 16 inch barrel and folding stock.

What do you think? Kinda like an MP40/44 hybrid. This could be a do-able little project.

Looks s**y, I'll grant.  I guess the question is - why?  And I "get" a lot of offbeat firearms projects and modifications.

It does not look very nice. And what about this, VSS Vintorez in 7,62x25?

I like the short barreled mock-up much better. It's like a German Thompson!

I'd give it a vertical foregrip, Thompson style buttstock with Mp44 aesthetics, and a hybrid Cutts/FG42 style compensator.

What happens if you throw the magwell off to the side, a la STEN?

Last pic looks kinda like mp45, but for the proportions ratio, I would shorten the heatshield part, somehow it does not look right.
