Think we'll need some zip ties.

Hate their logo, but it's the least expensive available trigger jig I'm familiar w/.  It'll bolt right onto a Hera Arms thumbhole stock.

Zip tie this on top:

Already found a better jig that has rear takedown pin holes.

Also I think hose clamps of a suitable size would be better to attach it to an upper than zip ties, as you can crank it down to the proper tension and still be able to easily disassemble.

I like the looks of that my friend. The takedown pin hole just adds rigidity to the unit. Now how to add a magwell....

The 5.7 upper uses a 50 round 1/4 turn like the FN90.

Hence the 5.7 upper Paraquat posted.  The magwell's on the upper.  Expensive, but ships directly to your house.

Oh I was wondering why you specified the 5.7 upper, I gotcha now. I actually love those mags and how they sit on the upper. Like you said though, expensive.

Trigger jig ordered.  We'll test w/ a .22" LR upper - single loading - then w/ my 7.62x39mm upper - single loading.  If we can get the 7.62x39mm upper to eject the case & close the bolt, I think we might have something.

You're the man. If I had a five seven pistol or p90 I'd just buy the 5.7 upper as I love the magazine design and the cartridge. However I just can't justify buying a $700 upper for fun right now. I'm very excited to see how well it works!

The only thing you really have to worry about is if the hammer will protrude into the upper the right amount and if it will reset when the bolt rides over it. Securing it to the upper may be a bit tricky as to not cover the ejection port with a hose clamp or zip tie or similar. Does the 5.7 eject the casings downward into the magwell?

Yes, the 5.7x28 upper ejects downward, I believe.  Won't be testing w/ one of those initially, as they're spendy.

The holes look to be in the right place.  Waiting to hear from vendor, as the screws for the pistol grip adapter are too long, and the heads on the ones @ Home Depot are too wide.

It should just be a 1/4-20 socket cap right?

8-32 for the pistol grip adapter screws.  Looks like they gave me 5/8" or 1/2" long screws - the holes are less than 1/2" deep in the trigger jig.
