Hi,
as my presentation says, I'm a 3d artist, I'm working on a 3d model of the m240b medium machine gun, the model will be fully disassemblable and for this reason I'm modeling all internal parts.

But I have some problems finding references (pictures, measures, blueprints) for some parts, for example, the trunnion or the front sight, can someone help?

These are my progress so far

I don't think anyone can help you without violating ITAR.

If it's a problem to share measurements and blueprints (someone can build the whole gun in his garage), for me can be very helpful pictures, because the model will be used in a videogame, so i don't need extreme precision.

This is the videogame I'm talking about (m1 carbine model done by me)

I don't see why a member could not provide the specs required, as long as the specs were off a couple mm's,  to avoid violating ITAR while at the same time, the CAD Specs would be close enough to build a 3D model for gaming.

frappu, I wish I had your 3D skills, because If I did I would create a 3d video like yours for all the military guns found here on weaponeer.

I actually did a quick check for one of the sites that carried blueprints, and that was the old website called Firing Pin " Firing Pin Enterprizes" and they no longer sell blueprints.   does anyone know why???

Hi and thanks, I'm happy you like the video, but remember, the game World Of Guns is done by dozens of 2d and 3d artist and programmers, I'm only one of them and without the work of the others, my model would be only a bunch of triangles

I'm ended into this website several times during my experience in 3d firearms modeling, you guys are very skilled and here there are a lot of helpful material, obviously some models are more difficult or rare than others and references are few ; I hope someone can help me for the m240, maybe for some parts like the bipod or sights.
