Hello gents and thanks for all the help I've found in your files so far.

I'm building a flat bending jig. I've already turned the two pieces for the mandrel but have not cut and mated them yet. I am getting ready to assemble the plate using 1" round bars on the plate.

Using an RTG flat I am trying to figure the exterior width of the outside top round due to the stiffening folds that protrude outward along the receiver. Has anyone used one of these flats and had any problems with the folds being smashed while being pressed?

I plan on making a u bracket in order to push the sides in around the mandrel once the initial press has been made. I was wondering if I allowed myself a 0.005 space on either side of the flat for the initial press would their be any foreseeable issue getting the flat to bend to spec on the second pressing around the mandrel?

Once I figure the arc segment geometry I'd like to compare the depths to mill on each mandrel piece with someone who has made these calculations.

Gentlemen, I thank you for taking time to read this and for your input.

So I did some calculations and the calulated geometry does not match up with the actual Measurements with the trunnion.

They're close but not exact. The trunion measurements are greater so if I err I will err on the side of caution. This will allow me to cut more off if the fit is too tight.

Still have no idea as to the width measurements of the bending parts as I have not taken any more measurements.

I know this is an older thread already, but I'm having a hard time finding files.
I've recently purchased a CETME C kit, and don't wish to spend the money to purchase a jig as I have the means to make one. Would you be able to point me in the direction of some CAD files for one?

I have one I made for the MP5. The profiles are the same. My original intent was to make it for all HK's by changing the location of the locator holes.

I would only need to know what they are. I never bought a blank because I can't complete one in my state.
