What is the best scope mount for a springfield m1a? For springfield 6 x40 scope that is not going to shoot loose.

You can very easily spend a lot of money on a scope mount for the M1A1, but below is the link to the one I purchased and installed on mine. (www.m1surplus.com/m1a%20scope%20mount.htm)

It is $29.95 plus shipping...

It was very easy to install (just remove the stripper clip guide, install the piece that replaces the stripper clip guide, and then screw the mount to the receiver.)

While it doesn't state it you can still use the "iron sights" with it.

I have been VERY happy with mine.

Nope.... I put a drop of "blue" loctite on the threads when I assembled it. Holds tight and yet is still easily removed.
