Good evening my friends. Im curious on how would I put a thomson 1928a1 receiver on my parts kit. Basiclly how would I rebuild my thompson from parts to the full thompson? This might be a really stupid question but I have no idea on how to do it.

You would first need to be properly licensced by DOJ/ATF as an 07 manufacturer , and pay the special occupational tax (SOT) of $500 anualy , then file a form 2 to manufacture a dealer sample . Lots of other hoops to jump thru but those are the basics

Are you saying "full Thompson" as in full auto, or as in "completed semi-auto" Thompson?

as in complete semi auto....Full auto would be nice but too much money for license

those are some nice looking rewelds, apparently ilegal but very nice looking, I can see the welds on at least three of the pics , visible on both guns . What the poster is confusing for machine marks on the one are marks from the sanding disk on a side grinder

PBB, if you did a reweld on receiver  from  SG what grade of welding material whould you recommend ? as you can tell i'm not a welder but would have it done.
