what is the cause of the problem if the gun fires but the firing pin doesnt seem to consistantly strike the bullet hard enough. It might fire a few rounds normally the just barely tap the next one....any ideas?

i thought that was the problem, but i bought some new stuff and it did the same thing....i dont know if there is a gas adjustment to be made somehow??? could it be that its not blowing the bolt back far/hard enough because too much gas is escaping or somthing? i really dont know.
