This SGN-9 build reminds me heavily on Federal Engineering XC-900/450/220  ( calibers 9mm para, .45 acp and .22lr respectively), that I always wanted to have/build.

No doubt that the author of SGN9 knew about this gun.

I like especially the 220 since that curved magazine configuration looks excellent and resembles better to assault rifle like ar15 than the straight magazine configuration (and that could be achieved in 9mm para with maybe using sterling smg magazine).

             Did you ever discover what the magic annealing temp and time was to get the suomi bolt to 45Rc??

Please try 900F for one hour. Heat treating is not a cook book. Try 800F and then have the hardness checked. Hardness is all important. Too soft can be very dangerous.
