Using two pieces of wood enormously simplifies the buffer tube well - it can be cut out w/ a router, instead of a long drill bit.

Bumping an old thread...

Recently someone was highlighted on TFB, having solved the issue of the wandering drill bit in the buffer tube - the made the lower from two pieces of wood, then bolted the two halves together.  I'll find the link & post it later.

My question - is half a wooden lower a firearm?

ETA:  Duh, I posted pics of it above, lol.
