I received the firing pin, extractor, and recoil springs.
The springs are smaller than I thought they would be so I will have to make smaller rods.

I have not forgot about this build but I may have misplaced some of the parts. Time to search them out and get going on this build.

So I pick the AR-15 fcg for this build and others. Figured the parts would always be easy to obtain. NO one has the parts in stock now.

Decorb. I can send you a CETME FCG. Really neat FCG that is easy to work with.

Easy to work with? I remember when I took one apart, thought that will never go back together again. Saw the same look in MikeInMN's face when he took one apart at a build party.

Started to gather up the parts I have for this build. Found my missing bolt.

Very easy if you ditch all of the FA stuff (CETME FCG) and one other piece most people leave in that you absolutely don't need.
I have it down to 4 parts and 2 pins now--and that includes safety.

I will have to take a look at that FCG again.

I ground a woodruff key cutter (by hand) to sculpt the fluting lands. Except for chambering, this cluster is functional. The next step will be the machining of a "try" frame out of aluminum. I have been putting most of my time in a 7.62x25 rifle so this build will be slow.

I just discovered that www.therifleshoppe.com has both rifle and pistol parts for rolling blocks.

I guess it is time to get back to this build. JFettig sent me a link of an auction that was selling some AR-7 mags. Well I jumped on it and I get to drive 30 some miles to pickup my winnings:
Standard Tactical Weaver Rail Laser Sight National Mag 15 Round .22 Marlin Mag. Marlin .22 15 Round Mag. AR-7, 15 Round Mag. Steel S & W K & L Frame Ruger GP-100 6" Holster Matco 30 Round Thompson Mag, U.S. .45 cal. 7 LED Visor Clip AR-7 15 Round .22 cal. Steel AR-7 15 Round .22 cal. Steel Barska Laser Boresighter Kit, .15 - .55 cal, Untested FM Tactical Laser Light Combo, Light May Need Repair Atomic Projection Clock Radio The Water Tube, Portable Water Storage System
It came to about $66, I feel like I got a deal, not a steal but a deal.

I like the new magazines. I did not realize they were higher capacity when I bid on them.

This looks like a neat project. Have you had a chance to finish it?
